1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Google account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
- Profile information — date of birth, gender, and location (a free-text field you type in, such as a city name — we do not collect precise GPS location).
- Profile and cover photos — images you choose to upload.
- Content you post — posts, comments, and likes you create within the App.
- Messages — text messages you send to other users you are connected with.
- Connection requests — records of connection requests you send, receive, accept, or decline.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Push notification token — a device identifier (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver notifications to you. This is only collected after you sign in.
- Advertising data — if you choose to watch a rewarded video ad to earn in-app credits, Google AdMob processes ad-related data (such as an advertising identifier) under its own privacy terms. We receive a confirmation of ad completion to credit your account, not the ad-tracking data itself.
We do not collect your precise device location, and we do not currently use any analytics or crash-reporting tools in the App.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To operate core features: feed posts, comments, likes, connection requests, and messaging
- To display your profile (name, photo, age, location, gender) to other users
- To send push notifications (e.g. new connection requests or messages)
- To credit your account after completing a rewarded ad
- To maintain the security and integrity of the App
3. What other users can see
Other users on Yaluwo can see your first name, last name, profile photo, cover photo, age (calculated from your date of birth — your exact birth date is never shown to others), location, and gender. Posts, comments, and like counts are visible to all users, as the feed is public within the App. Direct messages are only visible to you and the person you are messaging, and only after you are connected.
We do not display your email address or exact date of birth to other users.
4. Third parties we work with
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Sign-In — authentication
- Firebase (Google) — app services and push notification delivery
- Google AdMob — rewarded video ads for earning in-app credits
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for profile, cover, and post images
- Supabase — our database hosting provider
- Entriq — our API gateway, used to route app traffic (including messaging) to our backend services
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, please email legal@cosmicinc.xyz with your request, and we will process it. See our data deletion request page for details.
6. Age requirement
Yaluwo is intended for users aged 18 and older. By creating an account and providing your date of birth, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow use of the App by anyone under 18.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
